I can not believe Sarah is a year old already, time has truly flown by! The past year has had many ups and downs, but the best part has been watching Sarah grow up and Jimmy being a wonderful big brother. I can not believe how well my children get along and love each other. Sarah has been a totally different baby than Jimmy was, with a stubborn little girl attitude to go along with her! Sarah did not sleep through the night until I quit breast feeding at 11.5 months, it was exhausting, but well worth it. She is not walking yet, but cruising around on furniture, dancing to any beat she hears, and eating everything under the sun. Some of Sarah's favorite words are: Juice, Dance, Mama, Dada, Bye Bye, Night Night, and "nana" is her pacifier. Every time she leaves a room she waves bye bye and loves to blow kisses at everyone. I love having a little girl and playing dress up with her. I look forward to dance classes, gymnastics, pedicures and watching her grow up.

Nana and Aunt Boo came down to visit for Sarah's 1st Bday. We were able to enjoy some good laughs and sunshine while they were here.

Tampa Zoo

On our way back from Orlando, we went with Allan to Tampa for a confrence. While Allan was busy I took the kids to the Tampa Zoo. I was super nervous, but I let Jimmy ride a camel all by himself! I can not say enough good things about the Tampa Zoo, it was fantastic!

February Trip to Disney

We had a few days of perfect weather and enjoyed one of them by meeting friends at the park for a picnic. I think the kids played for two and a half hours, needless to say they both took great naps!

As part of our Christmas gifts to the kids we bought annual passes to Disney this year. We packed up last week and headed on down for our first family trip. Jimmy was so excited to see Mickey Mouse!

Snow White was a little scary, but Jimmy learned to close his eyes when something scared him.

I think Sarah enjoyed it as much as Jimmy did. She loved all the bright colors and singing. She could not have been better behaved. I was able to take her on 95% of the rides that we rode.

Jimmy's favorite ride was the Buzz Lightyear ride that was right next to where this picture was taken, I think we rode it five times! One of the times we got off the ride, Buzz was there for Jimmy to meet!

Somehow we got really lucky and found Mickey and Minnie with only two people ahead of us inline to see them. Jimmy was so cute, he got very quite and shy right before he got to meet them. He ran up gave them a hug and ran back to us, he could not believe he was actually meeting Mickey. When we told him to go back up for pictures he was all smiles. :)

The next day we went to Hollywood Studios (MGM)

Jimmy was super excited to see Playhouse Disney Live and to see all of his favorite characters on stage together. Sarah was jumping, clapping and laughing too.

****Warning to all parents, you have to sit on the hard floor right up next to someone during this show. None of the parents were happy and all had numb legs at the end of it LOL***

Jimmy was super excited he got to meet "Cowboy" Woody and Buzz Lightyear again!

Hollywood Studios had a great playgound from "Honey I Shrunk the Kids"

We had a wonderful time and we are going back in three weeks!!! One of the perks of taking a child to Disney is that they sleep REALLY well!

Lime Juice Please

The other night Jimmy was coming up with every excuse under the sun not to go to bed. He started naming off foods that he wanted to eat, even stuff he has never eaten. The he named lime juice, Allan and I both looked at each other, and smiled. He began to beg for lime juice, so he got lime juice......

He actually came back two more times for more, he thought it was funny!

Sarah is a full blown mess and into everything!!!!! I can not leave a room without her getting into something she should not or crawling off so that I have to go and find her. Jimmy has gotten really good at telling me if Sarah has something she should not be or is on the prowl again. On January 3rd Sarah started walking behind a push toy, I don't know if this is a good thing?!?

Every morning I make Sarah two eggs, I think about one egg truly gets eaten!

I know I am a little behind, but we have had a busy kickoff to 2010! My dad came to visit to celebrate a late Christmas with us. Jimmy was super excited to see him. I don't know what got into him, but he attacked my dad like a mad pirate with a sword. The best part of the whole fight was the fact that Jimmy would fake cry if he got hit!

He also made my poor dad sit at his table to eat all of his meals!

Christmas 2009

This Christmas was extra special because my mom, Becca, Chris, Michael, and Liz were able to join us. We all went to Christmas Eve service at church and over to the Branch's house for dinner. I have the greatest in laws for inviting my whole family over and providing food for everyone. When we got home I sat and read "The Night Before Christmas" to everyone, just like my mom always did growing up. Jimmy was so excited Christmas morning to see all the goodies he received from Santa, Sarah on the other hand had no idea what was going on!

Allan did a scavenger hunt so that I would have to look all over the house for my present. He did an excellent job getting tickets to see "The Wedding Singer" when it comes to town.

Lacy's Engagement

On December 23rd Lacy and Stephen were going to a Christmas party that had a Santa, so they invited Jimmy and Sarah to have their picture taken. Little did Lacy know she would be getting a gift from Santa! We are so excited for Lacy and Stephen and can't believe she is getting married. In the wedding scheduled for early fall, Jimmy is going to be the ring bearer and Sarah a flower girl along with Stephen's two nieces.

My baby boy is three years old now. I can't believe how time flies and how fast kids grow. Jimmy has a heart of gold and gets his feeling hurt very easily. He loves everyone around him and will give you a hug in a heart beat. Jimmy knows all his ABC's, can count to 15, and loves veggies! He even asked for seconds on broccoli over extra cake one night. :) He is totally addicted to his apple juice and drinks around 5 cups a day. Every night before bed we say our prayers and Jimmy names people/things that he is thankful for. He tells people that Jesus is in his heart. HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!WE LOVE YOU JIMMY BRANCH!!

Jimmy received a kids tough digital camera and baseball stuff for his birthday from us. He received some other clothing and slippers, but they were defiantly not the favorite gifts. He has really enjoyed his camera and has been taking pictures just like his daddy.

Sarah started crawling a week before she turned 9 months, and hasn't stopped yet. She keeps getting faster and faster and now pulls up on everything. Jimmy was much slower and didn't start truly crawling until 11 months and walking at 15 months. I think Sarah just wants to chase Jimmy!

Sunday we drove to go visit Allan's Papa, his dad's step father. Allan's grandfather passed away when Allan's dad was almost 10 years old. Papa has been a part of Allan's life as long as he can remember. Papa moved next to his son when Allan's grandmother passed away last two years ago. When Jimmy was a baby, Papa would hide money in his clothes. Several time we would go to change his diaper or put on his pj's and find money. I have put all of it in his piggy bank. This time Jimmy was super excited when we saw him because he got "big money"!;) It was really great to sit down and visit him.

Last night when we got home with the kids from their Halloween festivities we noticed a bunch of teenage trick-or-treaters in our neighborhood. I had not purchased any candy this year, because last year no one came. So we devised a plan....I pulled out last years candy and put it in a pumpkin bucket on the front porch with the lights on. Then put our camera in the window and waited to see what happened...

Those were the very first people to come by. Thanks a lot teenagers, we knew we would catch someone! Too bad that candy is a year old, they learned there lesson too!

Sarah is finally at the stage where I can set her down and she and Jimmy can somewhat play together. It is so cute to watch them pass toys back and forth and laugh. Sarah really enjoys watching Jimmy run around and laughs at him constantly. Jimmy is still very protective of Sarah, but he loves on her all the time.

Covenant Christian's Fall Festival

Last night we headed over to Covenant Christian school to their fall festival. Jimmy has had so much fun this fall, he will have gone to a total of four festivals after tonight. He calls them all parties, and now asks every morning if we are going to a party. :) Lacy is the art teacher at the school so both kids were excited to see her.

Our play group was able to visit a brand new local fire station Wednesday morning. Jimmy was in heaven climbing all over the four fire trucks. He loved pretending to drive the "big red trucks." One of the firemen put on his whole uniform to show the kids what he looked like, Jimmy started to get scared and ran to hide. I went and picked him up, and explained that if you saw a fireman in his uniform to give him a hug. That way he would not hide in our house if there was a problem. Jimmy ran right away and gave him a big hug!

Ok time for me to brag about my husband! At the end of August Allan and Steve (his business partner) decided to host a conference. A conference for marketers, designers, coders, business people, freelancers, and anyone who wanted to be inspired by amazing business people. Because I was taking care of the kids I was not able to attend. The whole day of the conference I was following the tweets on twitter about what was going on and what people were saying. All day my eyes filled with tears of joy for Allan and Steve. They worked so hard on getting everything together and it came together perfect. I did not see one bad thing said about the whole day. It is so wonderful to see that people respect your husband and think so highly of his opinion on things. They plan on hosting another one in the spring, my mother in law has offered already to watch the kids so I can go. My in laws were able to go and have expressed how proud they are of Allan. My sister in law Alicia was giving away "free massages," which got wonderful reviews. It is funny to think that just a couple of years ago Allan started freelancing on his own and now his name is fairly well known in the tech community.

I love you Allan and am so proud of you.

We took the kids to Boo at the Zoo in Birmingham. Jimmy absolutely loved trick-or-treating. He has it down pat and is ready for Halloween. I'm glad we went when it was still daylight, because I think the train ride would have been a little too scary for Jimmy. Before we took off on the train he was freaking out about a huge spider that was hanging right next to our seat. Jimmy has recently gotten into Star Wars thanks to Allan, so he was super excited to see Star Troopers and wanted a picture with every single one.

This past week Allan was out of town for his conference so I hit the road to pick up my sister in Auburn and head to Birmingham. I really enjoyed spending time with my family. Becca really needed to get out of Auburn, so we spent lots of time laughing and chasing kids. She is an amazing aunt, both kids love her so much. Jimmy asks about her all the time and says "Aunt Boo lives far away." I am so blessed to have a sister like her, she is my best friend.

We told Jimmy that we were going to have a pizza party one night. After dinner he wanted to know where the cake was, so Aunt Boo came up with a compromise! He loved it!!!

Grand Ole Pumpkin Patch

Becca and I took the kids down to Clanton, AL to the Grand Ole Pumpkin Patch last Friday. We had so much fun riding the tractor, picking out a pumpkin, looking at tepees, the petting zoo and so much more. Jimmy did not want to leave. Becca had us hike all the way to the far end of the pumpkin patch to find the "perfect" pumpkins.

It looks like soccer will be in our future. We took Jimmy out to a practice of the Covenant Christian high school soccer team where Lacy has been the coach this year. Jimmy ran right out and started dribbling and kicking the ball. We were shocked, we had not taught him to do it and he was doing so well! I went out and purchased a ball for him and he and daddy have been practicing in the front yard. I think he can "play" next spring, we shall see!

Soaking Up the Sun a Few More Times

We have really enjoyed the fact that it has stayed warm so long this year. We have taken several boat rides out to shell island all of September and into October. Jimmy has become so independent wanting to swim by himself (with a life jacket) and play in the sand. Sarah enjoys playing with the sand, I just have to watch her so she does not eat it! :)

We had a wonderful relaxing day today, enjoying the last day of summer. I dressed the kids in our Auburn gear to go to Chick-fil-A for a free chicken sandwich for lunch. Jimmy enjoyed his first chocolate milk, which turned him into a wild monster when we got home. As soon as we got home we went outside to get some energy out. Allan came out and enjoyed the sunshine with us and took some super cute pictures! Both kids took a two hour nap in their own beds, which made for a perfect day!

Sarah also had the corner of her first tooth pop up today! Jimmy was 4 months and had four teeth, Sarah will be 7 months on Saturday.

Sarah is finally sitting up all on her own, well she does have few tumbles here and the! She is really enjoying a new view of the world, and playing with new toys. She is not crawling on all fours yet, but scooting and rolling all over the place. Tonight she rolled over stole Jimmy's toy and pushed him!!!! Watch out Jimmy she is going to get you!!!

Jimmy started Mother's Day Out again this week. He loves his new teacher and the fact that Chase is in his class. He had no problem with me leaving him, and just said "bye mom" and gave me a kiss.

While in Pittsburgh Sarah started mumbling something that sounds like "Aunt Boo," I was finialy able to catch it on video. It does sound like she is saying it, maybe we should count it as her first words!

Last Saturday Sarah and I flew to Pittsburgh to visit my Grandparents and Aunt Cynthy. Becca (aka Aunt Boo) met us in the Atlanta airport to fly with us. I can not even explain how much my grandparents and Aunt mean to me. Sarah is named after my Grandmother Sarah Ann Simcox. I got so many traits from my grandmother, my small feet, small hands, green eyes, and love of shoes! Sarah could not have been better behaved the whole time we where there and on the flights. Anytime she got a little fussy Aunt Boo would put on my ergo baby carrier and Sarah would take a nap. Grandpa turns 90 on September 12th, so we had a little party for him while we were there. We are so blessed to have had such a wonderful trip, and look forward to another one sometime soon.

Allan and Jimmy were one their own while Sarah and I flew to Pittsburgh last weekend. They had a great time together and really enjoyed the "boy"time. One evening they went on the boat with Allan's family. Jimmy also got his hands on the spatula from the brownie mix. Both boys were in one piece and so was the house when I got home!!! (thanks to my wonderful mother inlaw for cleaning it up for me!)

Jimmy and Sarah love each other so much. Jimmy is very protective of her, he tells people "Don't touch my sister!" He can make her laugh better than anyone with just a funny face. He loves to give her "super kisses" and she grabs his face when he does!

6 Months Old!!!

Today our baby girl is 6 months old! She weighs 18.5 lbs 90%26.5 inches long 75%42cm head 45%She is scooting with her toes, rolling all over the place, babbling, and is such a joy. I am so happy that she is not crawling yet, I hope she is a slow crawler like Jimmy. She is working on sitting up, but would much rather stand up all the time. She loves watching her brother and gets a kick out everything that he does. She is still not sleeping through the night, but I think starting baby food is going to help the situation.

The Merry-Go-Round Goes Up and Down

Today we went to a play date out at Pier Park. We ate lunch Red Robin and headed over to the merry-go-round and train. We had a great time, until I discovered how fast the merry-go-round went and for how long. I felt so sick afterwards, I made Allan ride with him the next time.

This past weekend was my 10 year high school reunion, so back up to Birmingham we went. Allan decided to take some cute pics in the car, he got a little bored.

Don't worry we were stopped, and she had just finished nursing! :)

Park Day

Last week I took the kids to a park in town that we had never been to. It is right on the bay and has shade around the playground, which is unheard of down here)! Jimmy had so much fun running around and before I knew it he was in the water, shoes and all. Sarah played on the swings and sat in the stroller without her car seat for the first time. I did not think I was going to be able to get her out of the swing she was having such a joyful time. She smiled the whole time she was on them. We will be making regular visits to this park.

A couple of weeks ago my dad came down for a visit and to help my brother move back to Auburn. We took them out on the boat and all the boys went fishing. Jimmy loves to "pish."

Sarah wants to keep up with Jimmy so bad. Sarah being the second child, I am not excited about her being mobile at all. Jimmy he did not crawl until he was 11 months old, and walked at 15 months. I don't think I am going to be as lucky with Sarah. She has started rolling all over the place and scooting with her toes to reach something. Tonight she rolled over and got stuck under the couch and continued to try roll more.

Jimmy has not wanted to use his pedals on his bike, but just push with his feet all the time. Saturday morning we walked into the dinning to find him pedaling all by himself. We both started clapping and he got so embarrassed. He was so excited to ride with his daddy outside like a big boy!

Panama City Pier

Panama City Beach recently open their new pier and we took the kids out Friday night to take a look. Jimmy really enjoyed seeing all the fishermen and "pishing poles".

Allan's Aunt and Uncle offered their timeshare in Hilton Head to his family this week. We were the only ones that could use it all week, Alicia, Steven and Lauren were able to come up for the first half of the week. We had so much fun hanging out with them and splashing in the ocean. Jimmy is getting so big, running, splashing, and playing in the sand. Sarah has enjoyed splashing around in the water and taking peaceful naps in her tent.

This morning at 10:01am Hubbell gave birth to a beautiful baby girl Taylor Cheyenne King.

7lbs 14oz and 20 inches long Mommy and baby are doing fantastic, and Chase is already in love with his baby sister.
