Halloween Carnival

Yesterday we went to the Panama City meet-up group Halloween carnival. All of the kids looked so cute in their costumes. Jimmy was so happy in his Barney costume.

Goober!

Yesterday Allan and I were sitting on the screened in porch when Jimmy came out to visit with something in his mouth. Allan reached in and pulled out a piece of dog food. As soon as Allan said "he is eating dog food!!!!!," Jimmy responded without a pause with "Ruff, Ruff!" LOL!!!

For months now we have been trying to get Jimmy to say I love you, back to us. Two nights ago I had him give Allan a kiss good night. Allan told him " I love you" and Jimmy responded with "love you." We were so excited, he said it a couple of more times. The bad news is every time we tell him "I love you" now he responses with "love ME!" LOL!

Jimmy's Vocabulary

Jimmy has developed quite the large vocabulary. Allan and I were laughing while we were in the Bahamas' about the words that he uses most often.  Allan made this chart to demonstrate the daily average use of words.

Vacation Update!

We are home now from our wonderful vacation. Jimmy had to take a break from swimming one day because of bad diaper rash and a crick in his neck. We were able to go to the aquarium and take lots of walks that day. By the next day he was ready to rock and roll back in the water. We had so much fun riding the water slides again and white water rafting. Sam and Jenny were pros at the water slides by then and going down all the big ones. We tried to go down to the beach, but the wave were so big that you could not even get close to the water.

One day we took the boys on the ferry boat to the straw market. Jenny and I kept laughing every time we got called "pretty ladies". Jimmy loves to ride on anything that "go's", and did not want to get off the boat.
On our last day there we all jumped in a taxi and went to the local's favorite place to eat, "The Fish Fry," and had a great lunch. We then walked to the local beach and played in the water.
We really had a great time and enjoyed watching the boys play together. I can't wait to see Jenny and Sam again sometime soon.

Welcome to the Islands!!!

On Friday we traveled down to Nassau for a week of fun in the sun. My Grandparents have a time share down here and were not going to use it this year, so we jumped on the opportunity to take a family vacation. My cousin Jenny and her son Sam met us down here, Sam will be five next month.  The boys get along great, Sam has been a great help pushing Jimmy in his stroller.

Friday morning we woke up at 4:45 and drove to Tallahassee to catch our flight. Jimmy could not figure out why we woke him up that early, but was so excited when he saw that we were going on an airplane. So excited that during take off he filled his pants, and then had an explosion so bad we had to change his clothes in the Miami airport. His poor tummy is still torn up. I can't figure out what is causing it, but it does not seem stop him. He was a champ on the airplanes, and wanted "more" as soon as we got off.
The condo is super nice and has lots of room for all of us. The biggest problem we have run into is the price of food down here. Jenny and I went on the shuttle bus to the grocery store yesterday, boy were we in for a shock! We planned on buying food for at least breakfast, lunch and some dinners for the week. Prices for example: 1 gallon of milk $9.00, 1 cucumber $4.00, small pack of lunch meat $8.00, loaf of bread $6.00, 3 chicken breast $11.50, a pack of 60 Huggies diapers $30.00!!!! The small amount of groceries that I purchased for our family was $250.00 at home it may have been $120.00.
We have had so much fun swimming, swimming and more swimming.  Today we went of to Atlantis and played at the water park. All of us went on the "lazy river ride", that was not so "lazy". It was also a white water rapids ride! Jimmy rode with me with a life jacket on, I was scared holding onto him, and he just yelled "MORE, MORE!!!!" He loved every minute of the mile long ride. Jimmy also rode down other easy water slides with me. Allan would help me at the bottom catch him. He loves to "go, go, go," and never wants to stop, until he is ready to crash at nap time. Sarah and Jimmy both had a big day on the water slide. :)  Sam rode on some of the bigger water slides with Jenny and has really enjoyed the big boy stuff.
Tonight we went to dinner and went to see a free viewing of "Ironman," Jimmy lasted until his popcorn was gone. We headed back here to take a bath and go to bed. We are having a fantastic time and enjoying the wonderful weather. Everyone is so friendly and it is so clean and safe feeling. We miss everyone!

Salsa Man

Last night we met some friends for dinner at a local Mexican restaurant.  Jimmy has always loved the chips, but last night he downed two bowls of salsa! He was covered from head to toe in it. The salsa was ultra mild, but he sure did love it!

This never happens

Jimmy actually fell asleep in Allan's arms after church on Sunday! I had to capture a picture. I don't think he has done this in at least 8-9 months.

New Furniture!!!

A good friend of ours parents own a furniture store here in Panama City, they called us today and said they were having a fantastic sale today and tomorrow. So why not? We went on over and took a look around. We ended up buying two new couch sets for in our living room! We were able to get both almost at the cost of just one. We are going to get Kevin to make us a new coffee table and end tables. We will also be able to space them out better when our old furniture is out of the way. The lighter of the two couches is also a sleeper couch, so we can house even more guest at our Branch Bed & Breakfast! :)

Spend the Night Buddy

Chase came over tonight to hang out while Hubbell and Kevin celebrated six years of marriage! The boys play so well together. Chase does not like to eat big people food yet, Jimmy would try to talk him in to it by saying "good, yumm." Chase was not entertained by Jimmy trying to trick him into eating his veggies. They also collected all the green blocks and both went and sat down on the fireplace and passed them back and forth for awhile. Jimmy also taught Chase how to say "cheese" for a picture. Before bedtime I gave both the boys their milk cups, Allan and I were watching them when Jimmy went over stole Chase's cup and took off running full speed. He was laughing and running, like "nana boo boo, you can't catch me Chase!" What a stinker!!! Both boys passed out fast from playing so hard. Hubbell and Kevin are coming to get Chase in a little bit, he is such a joy to have over to play. Happy Anniversary Hubbell and Kevin!

Playing with Daddy

Allan and Jimmy were outside cleaning out the garage when Allan decided to make this video of Jimmy.

***The hedge clippers are rusted and can not open!!! The only reason I have not killed Allan for allowing Jimmy to play with them***

Bath in the Washtub!

Jimmy helped daddy clean out the garage today and got super dirty! I had just cleaned all the bathrooms and did not want his dirty grass covered feet in my clean tubs. So I put him in the washtub in the laundry room. Little did I know that Jimmy would love it! He would have stayed in it all day long if I would have let him.

Like Father, Like Son

For the last couple of nights I have thought I have heard Jimmy in the middle of the night, but when I look on the monitor he is sound asleep. So I figured it was all in my head. Last night I went in to check on him like I do every night before I go to bed. As I went to leave I heard him say "more". I walked over to his crib and sure enough he was sound asleep and was saying "more, more!" LOL Allan talks in his sleep all the time, guess Jimmy inherited that from him! I am sure he was dreaming about more grapes or more strawberries his favorites.

Sucking up Already?

This morning after breakfast I was preparing a casserole for a lady who just had a baby, when Jimmy came in wanting to give me kiss after kiss. Usually I have to ask him for a kiss, so I found this heartwarming. After about ten kisses he looked at me smiled and said "Pets please." Of course, I should have known he was up to something, all he wanted was to watch "Wonder Pets," and knew if he gave kisses I would not say no. Good grief sucking up at 21 months!

Recent Pictures stolen from Hubbell!

I had to steal a bunch of pictures from Hubbell's blog tonight. She always has her camera around! Let's just say Jimmy and Chase are both hams for the camera!

Hubbell is a Vandy fan, so I allowed her family to come over to watch the Auburn game. Big mistake! :)

I cried so hard I laughed!

Ok, so no I did not get that backwards. Last night I watched "Desperate Housewives," one of the main character's teenage son would not talk to her anymore. I was laying in bed last night thinking about it and my pregnancy hormones kicked into overdrive,  I started crying thinking about Jimmy growing up too fast.  It seems like yesterday that he was born, he is now almost two and so independent. Allan woke up and asked me what was wrong, needless to say I was crying so hard and I just started laughing and tried to explain. He got a good laugh and went back to sleep.

Jimmy and I  have started reading books on being a big brother and he loves to read them two or three times a night. I know he is going to be a great brother, and I still can't believe we are preparing for baby number two. Where does the time go?

Take me out to the ball game!

Tonight we went to my brother Michael's softball game. Jimmy loves to watch "ball" and wanted to run out on the field with Uncle Mike.

What a beautiful day

Jimmy and I spent two hours at two different parks this morning. It is so much fun to take him to the park now that he loves to climb and go down slides.

After we got home Jimmy decided to cut the grass.

Boat ride

On Sunday we took a fantastic boat ride out to the state park. Jimmy absolutely loves riding on the boat. He was yelling "go, go!" and shaking his hand so we would go faster. I am going to hate it during the winter when we can't go out.
