Mystery Solved

Jimmy has been very difficult to get to eat dinner. Jimmy loves to eat, but dinner is a fight.  He does not want to sit at the table, no matter what chair he is in. He does not want what I have cooked, and just cries. Allan figured it out one night when we ate later than normal. He likes to eat dinner late, around seven.  Now dinner is a pleasant experience, what a goober.

Jr. Museum

Lauren was off work today so we took Jimmy to the Jr. Museum. He jumped right on the boat and put his own life jacket on. He also had to take a break, like Forest Gump, and chill on a bench.

Flip Flop Flapper Weekend

This weekend I had a group of friends over for the weekend. We call ourselves the flip flop flappers, since we have all ties to Panama City. We surprised Alicia with a 30th Birthday Party, even though her bday is not for a month. We had a blast playing games, eating junk, and just doing nothing. Saturday night we ventured out to dinner at Carrabbas and shopping in Pier Park. I always have the best time with the crazy flip flop flappers.

Loving my new table

My friend Hubbell's husband made our new dining room table for us! I am totally in love with it!!! He is making a bench for on one side of it. Now I just need to cook a meal large enough to feed 10 people!

Running away already?

Tonight after Jimmy's bath he was playing in his room happy as could be. I ran down the hall to my room and was gone about 90 seconds. When I got back he was in his closet taking clothes off the hangers and putting them in a box. He told me "bye bye", I asked him where he was going, he said "Nana." Fantastic, my 21 month old son is already running away from home.

I promise that my child is so spoiled, loved, and kissed all the time. Not sure why he wants to leave. I even made corn on the cob for  him tonight?!?!?

Big Jimmy and Little Jimmy

Jimmy's Grandpa "JB" came over today with a new Barney DVD for him. Jimmy climbed right up on his lap with a blanket and watched it with him. They also sat and read books together.

New Slippers

Jimmy and I were in Carter's today and he picked out a new pair of slippers. He insisted on putting them on right away.

What a Goober

Today we went to the Library for story time. As soon as we pulled into the parking lot Jimmy was saying "books, books". The funny thing is we have not been in two weeks, because we have all been sick. Jimmy went right into the children's section and hopped on a computer. He has never played on one and thought it was so funny to see Barney on it.  I had to help him play the games, but he finally sat there and just pushed buttons. LOL!

Make My Day

I have been really sick with bronchitis the last couple of days, and have felt like dirt. I am finally got on an antibiotic and am feeling somewhat better. I decided to venture out to the bank, while inside standing in line Jimmy dropped his cup of water. A lady in line next to us picked it up, and without me saying anything he said "thank you"!!! I was so proud!

Part 2:
This afternoon the doorbell rang, I opened it to a Pastor selling discount cards for a local school. Of course I did not want to hear what he had to say until he asked if my mother was home!!! LOL I laughed so hard, and had to tell him that I was the mother, one in bed and one on the way! Of course he got my donation and I now have a discount card. I told Allan I don't look my age!

Jimmy and his Mother Goose Book

Jimmy loves to sit and read his Mother Goose Book all by himself. It is so funny to listen to him read in his gibberish language.

Jimmy makes this face when it is time to get into his crib and go to bed! He is so goofy!!!photo.jpg

Fashion Icon

Jimmy has been picking out clothes and bringing them to me to put on. I am worried about his taste in choices. He is really into layering, check out the overalls over his pajama bottoms, and his shorts over his long pants.

check out the pj's under his pants!

Playing at Grandma and JB's house

Jimmy loves to play in the water hose at Grandma and JB's house.

Jimmy's First Football Game

Tonight we went tothe Bay High football game (Allan's high school). Jimmy and I were walking up to the stadium as soon as the band started playing, Jimmy started dancing.  We met up with Allan and his high school friend Rusty up in the stands. Jimmy clapped along with the crowd and yelled touchdown when we finally scored. I taught Jimmy to say  hike, tackle, and run during the game. We made it all the way to half time, and Jimmy was in love with the bands. I don't think he even blinked watching them. In between songs he would yell "MORE MORE!!" I guess we have lots more football games in out future.

Sun Bathing

Today Jimmy and I met up with Hubbell, Chase, April and Bucky at Frank Brown water park. We were the only ones there!!!!! It was fantastic to let the boys run around and not worry about big kids running over them. Jimmy was all over the place, splashing, spraying everyone with toys, and going down the water slides. When we decided to feed the boys we went over to some picnics benches and sat down. Jimmy decided he needed to lay out instead of eating. He kept rolling over and changing positions. I have no idea where he picked this up from.

Visiting friends in Birmingham

Last weekend we traveled up to Birmingham and camped out at our "vacation" house in Helena! We were able to visit with Jess, Moseley, Catherine, and James. Jess, Kevin, and Moseley just moved into their new house in Ross Bridge. Their house is beautiful and is located almost across the street to the neighborhood park. The boys had so much fun running around until it was dark outside. It was so wonderful to be able to sit and talk to Jess and Catherine, we miss them so much.

On Saturday we went to Evia Spencer's first birthday party! I have never seen a little girl in a hot pink tutu look cuter! I can't believe how much she has grown since we moved six months ago. Jimmy was a car hog, and did not want to share Evia's new car. We miss Brad, Raemi, and Evia too!

Interesting night

Jimmy decided to kiss his reflection over and over in the window tonight. He also decided he needed to read Harry Potter to me! He would ramble on about something close the book and clap.

Piano Man

Allan turned on a t.v. special about Billy Joel tonight. Jimmy sat down and watched several minutes, and then got up and searched through his toy cabinet. Allan and I were both shocked when he pulled out his play piano book and started playing while watching Billy Joey. I can not believe how smart he is.

Poor Murphy

Murphy has had something wrong with his eye for the past day. I took him to the vet tonight, she thinks he just has a bad scratch, but he would not open his eye big enough to see the bottom of it. He was so sweet while she was putting in drops and trying to look, he just could not keep his eye open. Poor Murphy has been put in this satellite dish for the next 3-7 days. I have to be honest, I laughed so hard when they put it on him. He kept running into everything, when he tried to jump into the back of the expedition he fell back out. I am a horrible person and just kept laughing.

Labor Day Fun

Well with the weather up in the air, we did not plan anything to exciting for today. Allan of course had to work, so Jimmy and I met April and Bucky at the mall. We were able to walk around for a little bit and let the boys play on the cars at the arcade. It is so funny that we can sit them on the car and not even put a quarter in. Jimmy would sit there and drive all day if I would let him. The boys also road on the tiny merry-go-round. We all wore our Football tee-shirts and headed to Chick-fil-A for our free chicken fingers.
