Jimmy started walking behind a push toy yesterday. Allan and I were shocked when he just took off, I think Jimmy was shocked too.

Today we went to Wallahalla, South Carolina to visit the home Allan's Grandmother was raised in and the church she was married in. We also had the opportunity to see some Grant family graves, Allan's family is related to Ulysses S Grant. It was so interesting to hear old stories about Gran's family, and see the history.
Gran's house she grew up in.
St. John's Lutheran Chruch she was married in.

We are having a wonderful time at Allan's Aunt and Uncle's lake house. Jimmy is into everything, and we are living in the hot tub. Yesterday we went for a boat ride, and saw all the houses and waterfalls. Then we ATE! Jimmy had his first Thanksgiving dinner, Turkey, green bean casserole, and stuffing. He loved it, then passed out for a good nap with Grandma.

We left Wednesday morning at 8:45am headed to Wallahalla, South Carolina. It was suppose to be a 5 hour 30 min drive. Close to Pell City, I remembered we were 2000 miles over an oil change. So we stopped in Pell City for an oil change, that took 45min because we needed a head light. So off we went....then at the Georgia's state line, we sat for 45min in bad traffic. Then of course getting around Atlanta was lots of fun. From Atlanta to Wallahala is two hours, unless you travel on the day before Thanksgiving. We sat on 85 north for 2 hours, got off, bought a map from a gas station, and went back roads. We arrived at 7pm our time! TEN HOURS IN THE CAR WITH A 11 MONTH OLD!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH it was horrible. But we are having a great time since we have been here.

Jimmy has had a cold for a couple of days now. We wanted to make sure it was not turning into anything worse before leaving out of town, so I took him to the doctor today. Well good thing I did, he has the beginnings of an ear infection. Dr. Simpson said if we would not have come in, in two days we would have had bad infection and a fever. So for the first time, he is on an antibiotic. I took this picture trying to keep him happy at the doctor.

We had a nice lazy weekend and did not do much. Jimmy is fighting a cold and is pretty pitiful. During the day he is ok, except a runny nose, but he has a hard time sleeping since he can't breath out of his nose. This is his first cold, and boy I hate it for him. Tonight he pulled up on the coffee table all by himself a couple of times. He is also starting trying to crawl up on all fours, finally. Maybe by the time he is one, he will crawl like a normal baby :)
Last night, my friends Holly and Jen came to stay with us. Boy did they get a surprise when Jimmy woke them up at 6am ready to play. I will post pics later. Hope all is well with everyone. We have a really busy week getting ready to leave Wednesday morning for Lake Keewee in South Carolina. Happy Turkey Day!

We went to the Zoo today with Catherine and James. Jimmy was a little bully and bit James on the finger, he is grounded for three days! :) I forgot my camera, but was able to take these two pics on my cell phone. I could not believe the tiger was so close to the window, he must have known a true Auburn fan was near!!!! War Eagle!

Hello everyone! Hope all is well. We have been very busy lately. Friday Jimmy and I drove down to Montgomery with Allison and Laine, to Moseley's 1st Birthday Party. Moseley's real party is this weekend in Mobile, so Jess had one yesterday for Moseley's Birmingham friends. James, Laine, Moseley, and Jimmy are so cute playing together.
Moseley and Jess gave the boys a bib with their names on it and a cup cake with one candle for their first birthday. Jimmy was sporting his, but he has a couple more weeks.
Laine thought it was a riding lawn mower!
Early Birthday Present!
Allan and I ordered a car for Jimmy to ride around it. It grows with him, right now we can push him around, later he can use his feet to move. He took Elvis for a ride today.
Off to Oak Mountain
Today Allan and I bought a back pack carrier to go hiking with. We went up to Oak Mountain and hiked all the way down to Peavine Falls. We did not realize how far down it was. Jimmy really enjoyed the hike, but we were really tired with we got back up to the top.

Allan took some really cute pics of Jimmy getting a bath tonight.
I joined a Mom's Club this week, my neighbor Jennifer is very active in it. They have several things each month for everyone to do. Encluding a recipie club, book club, bible study, lunch out, mom's night out, field trips, babysitting swap, and play groups. I am really excited about it, I am sure I will have lots of pics from mom's club.

Jimmy has been so goofy lately. He has been crawling all over the place and then sitting in the corner all by himself. This morning he crawled over to the paintings of Dirk and Elvis and was petting them. He was also kinda fussy this morning so I turn his diaper box into a wagon for him. I pulled him all around the house. Last night around 11 I heard him rolling around in his crib, we turned on the video monitor and could not believe what we saw. Jimmy was sitting up sound asleep!!!! He was bobbing all over the place, then splat! He passed out forward, slamming his face in between his legs. One leg was forward one leg backwards. He stayed asleep, we laughed so hard. He did it again later on that night. Only my child would sit up in his sleep.
This afternoon Allan took some really cute pictures of Jimmy and myself. We had a great day laying around in the yard and playing outside. What wonderful weather we have been having.
